The Population Health and Prevention Unit requires a Research Associate (RA) to conduct statistical analysis of population health and chronic disease prevention and management program indicators review and interpret complex data and information and develop reports and dashboards. The RA is responsible for producing high-quality actionable and applied epidemiological and health services analyses to support quality improvement performance measurement and evidence-based planning and decision-making with the goal of improving patient outcomes patient and provider experience value and equity in the health system.
Here is what you will be doing:
Conduct analysis of population health and chronic disease prevention and management program indicators.
Develop analytical plans conduct literature reviews identify data sources or assist with data collection select appropriate methodologies analyze data using SAS verify data quality interpret findings and document methods and limitations.
Draft report content that summarizes analytical findings and offer actionable recommendations emphasizing key areas for consideration.
Present analyses and report content to the Manager and other senior team members; assist the Manager in presenting to broader stakeholder groups as needed.
Collaborate with the Manager to develop and continually refine tools templates and processes that support analytic activities.
Identify and escalate operational risks to the Manager and recommend strategies to address the identified issues.
Coordinate advisory groups or committees and facilitate meetings or sessions as required.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience
Masters degree in Public Health Epidemiology Biostatistics or a related public health field
2-3 years of relevant work experience is required
Experience using research and analysis methodologies and tools to gather synthesize and present information/data
Experience in writing and presenting reports/communications on the information/data gathered that is both comprehensive and easy to understand
Experience in quantitative data analysis using SAS R or equivalent statistical software
Experience using large administrative data sets or health survey data
Experience with or knowledge of indicator development and analysis is preferred
Proficiency in SAS R or equivalent statistical software for statistical analysis
Proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint SharePoint)
Knowledge and Skills
Ability to work effectively in a team but with minimal supervision
Strong written communication skills
Demonstrated computer and data management skills
