Job Summary:
The State of South Carolina is seeking an Enterprise Project Manager Consultant to step into an active project and provide leadership in planning execution monitoring and reporting. The consultant will act as a key interface between technical organizational change management (OCM) and functional teams ensuring requirements are met. This role involves collaborating with external agencies managing stakeholders and providing structure in risk management issue resolution scope control and milestone accountability.
Location: Columbia District of Columbia Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Step into an active challenged project and quickly gain situational awareness to identify critical issues risks and paths to resolution.
- Implement and reinforce rigorous program management practices across planning execution monitoring and reporting.
- Act as a key program interface for the agency s technical OCM and functional teams facilitating technical and enterprise system requirements are met.
- Collaborate closely with an external agency that leads the overall program and manages the contracted system integrator.
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups including vendors agency business teams ERP specialists and executive sponsors.
- Provide structure and clarity in areas such as risk management issue resolution scope control and milestone accountability.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Proven experience as a Program Manager for large-scale enterprise IT implementations ideally including cloud-based procurement or ERP-related systems.
- Experience in projects involving procurement systems or ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with financial system migrations from legacy systems or other modernization efforts.
- PMP Certification
- Bachelors Degree or 6-8 years of program management experience
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior experience as a Program Manager for large-scale state government projects.
Special Considerations:
- 100% On-site work is required in Columbia SC.
- Interviews will take place via Microsoft Teams with camera on.
Scheduling:
- Monday - Friday 40 hours per week.
