We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist for a high-volume Diagnostic Radiology unit. This assignment is ideal for techs with at least 2 years of experience in acute care settings and comfort with variable shifts including evenings and weekends. Clinicians must be flexible and committed to quality care in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Self-scheduling is allowed but seniority determines priority and clinicians must be open to all shifts.
Responsibilities:Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiology exams including chest abdomen spine extremities and fluoroscopic studies
Conduct portable and OR-based imaging (C-Arm Portable Chest/Abdomen)
Ensure accurate patient positioning image quality and adherence to radiation safety protocols
Prepare and administer contrast media for applicable studies
Collaborate with nursing physicians and support staff in ER ICU NICU and OR settings
Chart and manage imaging records using EPIC and PACS systems
Maintain equipment and report any issues to ensure operational continuity
Cover every other weekend (minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Tech in high-acuity settings required
Must be open to working any shift (including early morning afternoon evening and night shifts)
Self-scheduling available but priority goes by seniority
No on-call responsibilities
Must float as needed to meet department needs
Daily caseload: Approx. 30 35 scans per shift
Must submit written acknowledgment of shift requirements with profile
Offers contingent on interview include availability with submission
Local clinicians (within 50 miles) must inquire about local pay rates
Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per 2-week pay period
Block scheduling is not guaranteed manager discretion only
Pending license not accepted
All RTO must be declared at time of submission
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
At least 2 years of experience in hospital and/or outpatient radiology settings
Experience with a broad range of procedures including fluoroscopy trauma imaging and portable X-rays
ARRT (R) required
California Radiologic Technologist License required
BLS (AHA) required
Fluoroscopy Permit preferred
Strong proficiency in:
Portable and bedside imaging
Fluoroscopy studies (e.g. Upper GI Barium Swallow)
ER/ICU/NICU/OR workflows
Imaging of spine extremities skull and abdomen
Use of GE equipment and PACS
Able to manage heavy daily imaging volume
Patient-centered team-oriented and adaptable to fast-paced environment
