You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing inventory management processes to ensure accurate stock levels efficient warehouse operations and alignment with organizational goals. This role ensures timely availability of materials minimizes inventory costs and supports smooth supply chain execution.
Inventory Planning & Control
Develop and implement effective inventory control procedures and policies.
Monitor inventory levels and initiate timely replenishment based on demand forecasts and reorder points.
Prevent overstocking and stockouts through proactive planning and coordination.
Stock Auditing & Accuracy
Conduct regular physical stock counts cycle counts and audits across all warehouse locations.
Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical and system-recorded inventory.
Ensure all inventory movements are accurately documented and recorded.
System Management & Reporting
Use inventory management systems (e.g. ERP WMS) for real-time tracking and reporting.
Generate and analyze inventory performance reports (e.g. aging turnover shrinkage).
Recommend system or process improvements based on inventory analysis.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with procurement logistics finance and production teams to align inventory strategies with supply chain operations.
Work closely with warehouse teams to optimize storage utilization material handling and order fulfillment.
Support new product launches or project roll outs with inventory planning.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to health safety and quality standards in inventory handling and storage.
Maintain up-to-date records for audits compliance checks and internal reviews.
Team Supervision (if applicable)
Lead train and supervise storekeepers or warehouse staff on best practices and SOPs.
Foster a culture of accountability accuracy and continuous improvement within the inventory team.
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Logistics or a related field.
Minimum of 3 5 years experience in inventory warehouse or supply chain management.
Solid understanding of inventory control techniques forecasting and demand planning.
Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g. SAP Oracle Odoo Microsoft Dynamics Zoho).
Strong analytical skills attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of safety and compliance procedures in inventory/warehouse operations is an added advantage.
