Assistant In-Room Dining (IRD) Manager
We are seeking an Assistant IRD Manager to support the In-Room Dining Manager in the day-to-day operation of the room service department ensuring exceptional service delivery to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on team supervision guest satisfaction service consistency and departmental efficiency in a luxury environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the entire IRD operation including order-taking preparation coordination delivery and clearance.
- Supervise train and motivate IRD staff to deliver exceptional 5-star guest service.
- Ensure that orders are delivered accurately and on time following proper service procedures.
- Handle guest requests complaints and feedback professionally and promptly.
- Monitor and maintain standards in food presentation tray setup and hygiene.
- Collaborate with the kitchen housekeeping and front office to ensure smooth service.
- Oversee mini-bar operations (if applicable) including stock control and billing.
- Support inventory management requisitioning and cost control.
- Conduct staff briefings schedule shifts and ensure team compliance with SOPs.
- Review guest preferences special occasions and VIP needs to deliver personalized service.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies health and safety regulations and grooming standards.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality or equivalent
- 2 4 years of F&B experience with at least 1 2 years in a supervisory or IRD role
- Excellent knowledge of room service operations guest etiquette and 5-star standards
- Strong leadership organizational and team-management skills
- Excellent communication skills in English (other languages are an advantage)
- Familiarity with POS systems order-tracking software and MS Office
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Well-groomed professional appearance with a guest-focused attitude
- Flexible with rotating shifts nights weekends and holidays
