POSITION PURPOSE
The purpose of the Director-Procurement role is to lead the procurement organization for T5 Data Centers to include contract management sourcing procurement and strategic supplier management activities for all T5 services including Facilities Management and Construction Services. The Director will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic approach to the corporate procurement and material management process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and communicate a procurement business plan; establish communicate and implement long-term goals for the department in order to promote effectiveness efficiency and cost savings.
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide procurement policies and procedures.
- Serve as the primary contact for procurement-related questions training policy and procedure interpretation and alignment by all T5 departments.
- Develop sourcing strategies to identify potential suppliers of goods or services who can meet specific requirements or provide opportunities for growth or efficiency improvements.
- Oversee or perform the preparation of budgets estimation of costs and negotiation of prices with suppliers.
- Implement and ensure utilization of a methodology for running an RFQ process for potential suppliers.
- Coordinate with legal to establish standard customer terms and conditions as well as any exceptions or items of concern or risk and contribute to negotiations with the customer.
- Under the guidance of the General Counsel implement a methodology to ensure that relevant customer contract requirements are reflected in vendor contracts.
- Develop a strategy for monitoring and achieving T5 corporate goals and objectives around ESG with respect to T5 vendors with an emphasis on the utilization of minority-owned businesses where applicable.
- Interface with the Companys legal business site and other supporting cross-functional teams to answer questions and resolve issues related to procurement activities.
- Create a policy and deploy a Document Management System for vendor contracts and related ancillary information (like Certificates of Insurance etc).
- Conduct historical vendor contract review and periodically prepare contract reports for various departments/purposes.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with both internal personnel vendors and external customers.
- Ensure compliance with the companys standards procedures and work health and safety policies.
- Proactively make recommendations to management for ways to achieve cost reductions or efficiency improvements and improve contract templates processes and policies.
Qualifications :
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
- 5 years in a Procurement/Contract Administrator role or related experience preferred
- Experience identifying risk and working with legal and business resources to resolve
- Experience evaluating and negotiating with vendors
- Experience in the data center or related industries
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel SharePoint Word and Teams
