Job Description

Locations: We are currently recruiting for Instructors in and around the North Chelmsford MA area. This can include towns such as: Billerica Bedford Carlisle Andover Tyngsboro and more!
- Lead groups of up to 20 students through curriculum-guided activities (note that for larger class sizes you will co-teach with another instructor or have the support of a Teaching Assistant);
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment;
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures;
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of Snapology;
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies;
- Adequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum watching training videos and/or participating in face-to-face training sessions;
- Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs;
- Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs;
- Check-in with Owner/Program Director as needed.
- 2 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom camp or similar environment
- Education degree or teaching experience recommended teachers pursuing a degree in education will also be considered for this position
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
- Ability to successfully complete a background check including a CORI SORI and fingerprinting
- Each program will last approximately 1-1.25 hours in occur one day per week between 2:30 and 6:00pm Monday-Friday in our partner locations (schools recreation centers etc.). Some locations do have back to back programs.
- In addition we do offer birthday parties which are 1.5-2 hours in length and occur on Saturday or Sunday during the day (typically between 10AM and 5PM). These can be mobile (at partner sites) or offered at our North Chelmsford MA location.
