We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented AWS Cloud Operator to manage and maintain AWS-based cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure ensuring that systems are running smoothly securely and efficiently. You will work closely with other teams to monitor troubleshoot and optimize AWS services and provide continuous operational support.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage AWS infrastructure including services such as EC2 S3 RDS VPC and others.
- Ensure the availability performance and reliability of AWS services in production environments.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as patching updates and backups.
- Respond to incidents and service disruptions providing timely resolution and root cause analysis.
- Work with engineers and architects to implement and maintain cloud best practices and automation tools.
- Ensure security and compliance standards are met by managing IAM roles security groups and other access controls.
- Assist in the automation of cloud infrastructure operations using tools like CloudFormation Terraform or Ansible.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues in collaboration with other teams.
- Provide operational support for CI/CD pipelines monitoring systems and disaster recovery plans.
- Generate and maintain documentation for cloud environments processes and procedures.
- Perform cost management and optimization tasks to ensure that resources are used efficiently.
- Assist in the deployment of new AWS services and projects as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in cloud operations specifically with AWS.
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2 S3 RDS VPC IAM and CloudWatch.
- Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure management networking and security best practices.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems including AWS CloudWatch.
- Basic scripting skills in Python Bash or PowerShell.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications :
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification.
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible Chef or Puppet.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup strategies in the cloud.
- Understanding of cost management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer and Trusted Advisor.
