Reports To: Grounds Manager Maintenance & Operations
Job Status: Non-exempt
Position Summary:
Prepares sheetrock measure mark and cut drywall panels according to design plans. Fasten panels and tiles to support structures. Patch trim and smooth rough spots and edges. Apply tape and sealing compound to cover joints between wallboards. and areas that will be painted Help out in other areas when needed. Will be painting inside and outside. Work with a work order process. Need to be a team player and work with staff and students.
Job Responsibilities:
Plan layout install and repair sheetrock apparatus and control equipment.
Must have knowledge of applicable safety rules; use basic tools and care of the tools knowledgeable of fire protection
Use of hand electric power tools and pneumatic tools and care for these tools
Basic knowledge of material nomenclature assist mechanics in assembly and work performance; demolition; cleaning; removing debris; housekeeping
Building maintenance; handling trash; and assisting in maintenance and construction. Able to safely drive a golf cart or similar vehicle.
The ability to speak read and write English make simple calculations and follow simple written and oral directions is required.
