POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Product Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the full product development lifecycle and supporting brand expansion through category research and innovation. Reporting to the Brand Manager this role collaborates closely with product development marketing engineering and sales to ensure alignment with brand strategy customer needs and market trends. The Product Manager will serve as the bridge between consumer insights and product execution. The Product Manager owns assigned product lines defines the roadmap and ensures efficient effective go-to-market execution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
  • Lead the strategy and execution of new product initiatives in collaboration with brand management R&D engineering marketing and sales.
  • Own and develop product roadmaps that align with business goals brand strategy and market opportunities.
  • Act as category champion: identify whitespace evaluate market trends and propose category expansion ideas based on consumer insights.
  • Translate customer feedback competitive research and market intelligence into actionable product requirements.
  • Create and manage comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) to support development processes.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams through the new product development (NPD) cycle; maintain momentum and accountability.
  • Support dynamic pricing strategy development through value-based competitive and cost-plus analyses.
  • Monitor ongoing product performance and lifecycle; recommend adjustments based on performance feedback and market shifts.
  • Ensure product launch readiness by working with marketing and sales to define go-to-market strategies.
  • Maintain clear documentation and communication of project status risks and decisions.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for assigned product categories or brand verticals.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support departmental objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Engineering or a related field is typically required.
  • 2 years in product management or project coordination
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with the firearms and outdoor sports industry is highly preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The employee may be required to bend twist reach push pull and operate office machinery and motor vehicles.
  • Must be able to lift to (50) pounds
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS
The role primarily aligns with standard business hours; however flexibility is essential to accommodate varying schedules based on business demands. This may include evening weekend and holiday shifts as well as hours outside of typical departmental operations.
