We are seeking a Senior SharePoint Communications Specialist who will provide communications digital content and technical SharePoint support as part of the ASA (FM&C) Training Support Services program. This role combines expertise in public affairs and digital publishing with strong technical capability in SharePoint administration and design. The candidate will develop maintain and update SharePoint sites and communication materials to support workforce development training initiatives and executive-level messaging. This individual must be detail-oriented collaborative and capable of producing high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in SharePoint development administration or support including experience with SharePoint Online (M365) and/or on-premise versions (2016/2019).
Proficient in designing configuring and managing SharePoint sites including pages document libraries lists workflows and site permissions.
Hands-on experience using Power Automate Power Apps and SharePoint Designer (or equivalent) to build solutions that automate business processes and improve usability.
Skilled in implementing and supporting custom web parts content types site templates and branding within SharePoint environments.
Familiarity with HTML CSS JavaScript or SPFx (SharePoint Framework) for front-end customization and user interface enhancements.
Experience with enterprise content management including version control metadata tagging and information governance in SharePoint.
Strong understanding of user experience (UX) and information architecture best practices for intranet and portal design.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with stakeholders gather requirements and provide end-user support and training.
Desired Skills:
Experience supporting DoD or Federal communications programs.
Working knowledge of DoD communication policy branding and approval workflows.
Ability to create dashboards or visual content using tools such as Power BI Canva or Adobe InDesign.
Experience developing content for executive-level briefings newsletters or strategic communications.
Familiarity with information architecture best practices for intranet usability.
Experience integrating SharePoint with collaboration platforms such as MS Teams.
Bachelors degree in Communications Public Relations Graphic Design Information Technology or a related
