Job Summary
Under administrative direction a Certificated Substitute in the San Dieguito Union High School District works on a flexible on-call basis providing temporary instructional support in middle and high school classrooms. This role involves stepping in for absent regular teachers implementing lesson plans and maintaining classroom order. The substitute should be adaptable able to teach various subjects and communicate effectively with students and staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Possession of a valid California Teaching Credential with or without an English Learners Authorization
OR
- A valid California issued 30-Day Substitute Permit
Substitute Teacher Pay Rates
$180.00 - Full Day: 3 hours or more in system / onsite.
$90.00 - Half Day: Less than 3 hours in system / onsite.
$200.00 - Long-term pay rate: Effective on 6th consecutive day in the same assignment.
*Note Re: Long-term pay rate: If a break in service after long-term pay rate is effective the rate will revert back to full day rate for 5 consecutive days.
