Job Summary:
AGC Biologics is a global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) committed to bringing hope to life by enabling the development and commercialization of innovative biopharmaceuticals. We are currently seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to join our Global Business Development team.
This individual will lead growth initiatives within the mRNA segment by identifying evaluating and closing new development and manufacturing partnerships with clients across the United States. The ideal candidate is a driven relationship-focused professional with a strong understanding of the CDMO space and a passion for advancing next-generation therapies.
Location: Remote (US-based) with domestic and occasional international travel
Compensation Range: $164400 $226050 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
Identify engage and close new mRNA business opportunities by building strategic relationships with new and existing clients across the US.
Drive visibility revenue growth and market share by implementing region-specific business development strategies.
Develop and execute a targeted sales territory plan with a focus on meeting or exceeding annual sales goals.
Initiate proposals and communicate AGC Biologics capabilities effectively to decision-makers within target organizations.
Coordinate and lead client site visitsmanage agendas engage cross-functional teams facilitate key conversations and follow up with strategies to address feedback or concerns.
Contribute to the development of marketing strategies that support US business development efforts.
Maintain and manage pipeline activity through CRM systemstrack leads organize follow-up and ensure visibility across the internal business development team.
Partner closely with global and site-based teams across technical legal and financial functions to support due diligence and close deals effectively.
Provide actionable market intelligence based on client interactions and industry trends to inform strategy and planning.
Represent AGC Biologics at industry conferences trade shows and relevant business events.
Consistently deliver high-quality opportunities aligned with company growth targets and leadership expectations.

Qualifications
Required:
10 years of successful experience in business development or sales preferably in the CDMO or broader life sciences/biopharmaceutical industry.
Bachelors degree in Life Sciences Business Administration or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenter and relationship builder.
Ability to adjust communications style with ease to fit the audience and the message at hand.
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time to AGC Biologics sites client locations and industry events.
