What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking an Assistant Director of Development who will support the mission of the university by qualifying cultivating soliciting and stewarding a portfolio of donors and prospects for major gifts to Baylor focused on support for the College of Arts & Sciences.

A Bachelors degree and less than one year of relevant work experience is required. A Masters degree and two years of relevant work experience are preferred.

*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

  • Actively participate in Advancements prospect management activities including discovery and qualification visits and other prospect development initiatives
  • In partnership with the Managing Director Assistant VP and Associate VP for Development establish annual measurable goals for new gift commitments submitted proposals qualified prospects and prospect meetings conducted
  • Partner with deans directors and senior administrators to develop compelling philanthropic priorities that align with Baylors and the colleges or units strategic plans for major donors
  • Collaborate with Advancement colleagues and the College of Arts & Sciences team to foster trust encourage innovative strategies and work with Baylor staff and volunteers to significantly grow private giving
  • Work closely with deans directors and senior leaders to structure engage and support college and unit advisory boards and councils ensuring alignment with fundraising goals and increasing philanthropic support
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
  • Ability to comply with university policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
