Job Description

The Head of Sales for Central Southeast Europe (CSEE) will be a key member of the CSEE Leadership Team and will be responsible for driving sales growth optimizing the route to the market and fostering strong partnerships with distributors and key customers.

Leading a team of Sales Managers across the region this role ensures the achievement of sales and profitability targets while maintaining operational excellence. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills a deep understanding of distributor dynamics business acumen and marketing expertise.
 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy & Market Development

  • Develops and executes regional sales strategies that align with overall business objectives.
  • Establishes and strengthens partnerships with distributors to enhance market penetration and efficiency.
  • Continuously analyzes market trends competitor activities and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Ensures the development of sales forecasts budgets and performance plans in collaboration with the team.
     

2. Commercial & Financial Performance

  • Achieves or exceeds sales and profitability targets across the CSEE region.
  • Implements data-driven decision-making processes using analytics to track performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Develops long-term relationships with key customers to secure sustainable business growth.
     

3. Leadership & Team Development

  • Leads mentors and motivates a team of Sales Managers fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Provides coaching and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and drive results.
  • Establishes clear goals monitors progress and implements corrective actions as needed.
  • Encourages collaboration and best practice sharing across markets to drive regional success.
     

4. Route to Market & Distribution Excellence

  • Optimizes the route to market strategy ensuring effective product distribution and customer reach.
  • Strengthens relationships with distributors negotiating agreements that align with business objectives.
  • Implements best practices in sales execution ensuring alignment with marketing and trade initiatives.
  • Works closely with logistics teams to ensure product availability and efficiency.
     

5. Marketing & Business Development

  • Works collaboratively with marketing team to align sales strategies with brand positioning and promotional activities.
  • Identifies new business opportunities developing strategic initiatives to expand market presence.
  • Ensures the implementation of marketing campaigns and trade activations that drive demand and sales.
     

6. Compliance & Ethical Business Conduct

  • Ensures adherence to company policies industry regulations and ethical business practices.
  • Promotes a culture of integrity and compliance within the sales team and distributor network.
  • Monitors legal and regulatory changes ensuring business operations remain compliant.

Qualifications :

Qualifications & Experience:

  • University degree in Business Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales and Marketing leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in leading and motivating sales teams across multiple markets.
  • Experience in working directly with distributors managing partnerships and optimizing the route to market.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret financial data and market insights.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal);
  • Ability to travel frequently (approximately 70% of the time in the field).
