Description

Join our dynamic team as a Trade and Working Capital Vice President where youll partner with senior bankers and partner with clients to structure and implement new standby letters of credit and guarantee products and clients. Your expertise will support our clients trade finance needs ensuring compliance and risk management.


As a Trade and Working Capital Vice President in our Trade Finance Team you will lead and navigate the end to end process for Bankers to ensure a smooth experience for both banker and client ensuring the transactions and facilities and operationally ready for use.

Job responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal teams including credit legal and operations to ensure seamless execution of trade finance transactions
  • Manage senior Bankers in guiding clients through complex setup requirements
  • Conduct gap analysis and provide client/banker training
  • Develop and structure standby letters of credit and guarantees tailored to clients trade finance requirements
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to ensure the security and viability of trade finance transactions
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the interests of both the bank and its clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients acting as a trusted advisor for their trade finance needs
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty
  • Ensure all trade finance transactions comply with relevant regulations and internal policies
  • Prepare and review documentation related to standby letters of credit and guarantees
  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports for management and regulatory purposes

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

  • Knowledge of URDG / ISP 98 and UCP 600
  • Experience in trade finance
  • Strong knowledge of trade finance instruments risk management and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Knowledge of client documentation credit and onboarding processes

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration
  • Familiarity with industry best practices in trade finance
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional projects to enhance trade finance offerings
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and client needs
