Job Description

Holiday Beach Companies in Panama City Beach FL is looking to hire a full-time Head Housekeeper to direct and coordinate daily operations of the housekeeping/cleaning department. This position earns a competitive wage of $50K - $55K salary per year.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Head of housekeeping will be responsible for multiple important aspects of the cleaning team. Head of Housekeeping directs and coordinates the daily operations of a housekeeping services department to ensure that all assigned homes meet and/or exceed appearance and cleanliness standards as set by Holiday Beach Rentals while training and leading their team.


Job Requirement and Responsibilities Include:

  • Hiring training scheduling and supervising in-house cleaning staff members to ensure they are performing their tasks effectively.
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies.
  • Monitoring employee attendance and productivity and addressing any issues that arise with them.
  • Scheduling cleaning staff shifts and ensuring that each employee has the proper supplies for their job.
  • Perform schedule and oversee deep cleans of rental homes to maintain high cleanliness standards such as scrubbing baseboards light fixture and fan dusting and detailed bathroom sanitation.
  • Ensure assigned houses are cleaned and properly set for guest arrival i.e. beds made amenities and towels presented per guidelines and all furniture placed where they are supposed to be.
  • Communicate with guest liaison for issues and needs in the homes.
  • Ensure linens going into linen bags are free of stains and not dingy while in laundry facility.
  • Ensure linens and amenities are packed and ready to go to houses day before departure.
  • Ensure linens bags are tagged and laundry pick-up service is notified.
  • Keep vehicle clean and ready for next day (Ex: stocked of extra linens and kitchen items that may be needed during cleaning of house.)
  • Perform monthly company vehicle inspections with cleaners
  • Manage day to day operations of laundry facility
  • Ensure bathrooms and common areas such as meeting rooms are stocked and cleaned weekly and trash is taken out.
  • Perform laundry duties including washing drying and folding linens using our in-house laundry facility
  • Other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must know the inner workings of vacation rentals and rental program
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • High school education or GED Equivalent
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Weekends are a MUST especially during busy season (May - October)
  • Maintain a positive attitude and exude enthusiasm.
  • Attention to detail - quick to notice cleanliness
  • MUST have basic knowledge of Excel
  • 3 years of managerial experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to walk up multiple flights of stairs
  • Able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds - able to carry items from vehicle into the home and upstairs if needed.

WORK SCHEDULE

We are open 7 days per week however 2 days off are scheduled each week - this position must be able to work weekend shifts unless they request time off.

Normal schedule 8 AM - 5 PM
