Qualifications:
HighSchooldiplomaor equivalentrequired.Preferexperience in counselingand/oradvocacy strong interpersonal and communicationskillsability to workindependentlyability to acceptresponsibility and followthroughproject assignments. Also preferexperience or demonstrated interest in womens issues preferablydomesticviolence.ValidOklahoma Drivers License andcleandriving record forinsurability.
Responsibilities:
Providesupportivedirection and/or case management services for victims of crime. This may include basic life skillsmoneymanagement safety planning work readiness job searchmeal planning and preparation positive parenting skills so that the survivor can become self sufficient and continue their path to healing from victimization. Provide any community resources that are available to the survivor.
Assistwithprotective/restrainingordersand othercourt related matters and referrals to legal programs for assistance with divorce or custody matters caused by their victimization.
Respondto crisis calls who are accessing24-hour KNFTHC crisis hotlineandprovide safety planning and crisis intervention as needed.Provideinformation/referrals to victims and theirchildren
Attend facilitate and assist with program support groups community outreach activities local community crisis response teams meetings with local community resource providers as well as maintain good working relationships with local programs local judicial systems local law enforcement and first responder officials
Arrangeforemergencymedical services or law enforcement services as needed
Take incoming calls from victims looking for shelter services/bedspace and complete intake and other related paperwork as required.
Assist in providing and arrangingtransportationforclientswho meet guidelines to receive emergency shelter services as required.
Enforce and protect client confidentiality as outlined in KNFTHC/KNES policies and procedures
Assistin the care and maintenance of the shelter as well as cleaning and preparing room(s) for clients and their families.
Attend and participatein staff meetings/trainings
Performrelateddutiesas and/ordeemednecessary by Supervisor
Allnew hireswill be by the Kaw Nation pre-employmentdrugscreen and backgroundcheck.Failure to pass the drug screen or thebackgroundcheckwill lead to withdrawal of the job offer or termination of employment.
