Job Description

The position is accountable to meeting organization-wide needs across the full scope and portfolio of services at LSS. Geographically this role will focus primarily on Minnesota with some research extending to neighboring states nationally. This position operates primarily at a Senior Director and above level in the organization with Line of Service and Central Services leaders alike.

  • Responsible for conducting market research on industry trends competitor providers new service expansion opportunities to inform strategy and planning at the organization and individual Line of Service level. Provide and monitor external benchmarks for the organization.
  • Conduct internal business analysis to identify gaps in successfully positioning LSS for growth opportunities in our environment.
  • Lead the development of business cases forecast and scenario models in collaboration with Line of Service leaders and the Finance department to evaluate new opportunities and initiatives and translate insights into actional recommendations.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Economics Marketing or related field required or equivalent years of professional experience
  • Three or more years experience in research occupation data analytics strategic planning process facilitation and/or project management
  • Highly thorough and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated high capacity for building relationships leading cross-functional initiatives and leveraging those relationships for growth
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including diplomacy firmness and the ability to provide constructive criticism as well as teach/guide others
  • Moderate skills in financial modeling
  • The capacity to be highly adaptive to different work/personal cultures and work from a racial equity lens
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Valid drivers license and preferably access to a car
