Role Summary:
The Senior Manager of Portfolio Acceleration (Oncology) is responsible for driving competitive advantage and enhancing business outcomes for the Oncology franchise. This role involves identifying growth opportunities implementing innovative solutions and leveraging data and analytics to support strategic decision-making and optimize market performance. The Senior Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and customizable strategies that align with business objectives. This position reports to the Senior Director of Portfolio Acceleration within Pfizers Oncology Commercial Analytics team.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution
Portfolio Acceleration Initiatives: Aid in the development and execution of high-impact portfolio acceleration initiatives (e.g. finding ways to deliver products to patients efficiently and effectively) to address key business needs drive competitive advantage and enhance franchise performance.
Business Strategy Alignment: Ensure that portfolio acceleration strategies are aligned with the franchises overall business goals and objectives.
Cross-Franchise Scaling: Identify and support opportunities to scale successful initiatives across other oncology franchises ensuring consistency and best practices across the broader oncology portfolio.
Market Development and Growth Opportunities
Go-to-Market Strategies: Aid in the implementation of innovative go-to-market strategies to optimize market entry improve customer engagement and capitalize on growth opportunities within the assigned franchise.
Customer and Patient Experience: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement initiatives that improve the HCP and patient experience driving brand loyalty and market share.
Data-Driven Insights and Analytics
Data Utilization: Leverage internal and external data sources to inform portfolio acceleration strategies identifying novel data sources and driving insights generation to support decision-making.
Analytics and Reporting: Aid in the development of tools dashboards and reports to track business performance providing actionable insights to sales marketing and field medical teams that enhance strategic execution.
Innovative Analytics Approaches: Explore and implement novel analytic approaches to improve market understanding predict performance and identify untapped growth opportunities.
Oncology Account Support Portfolio Account Analytics and Stakeholder Engagement
Oncology Account Analytics: Provide analytical support to Oncology Key Account teams (OAG and Portfolio) delivering insights on key accounts market dynamics and growth opportunities.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to franchise teams field teams and key account managers ensuring that data-driven insights and portfolio acceleration strategies are integrated into broader business plans.
Innovation and Special Projects
Innovation Solutions: Aid in the development of innovative solutions that enhance franchise performance streamline operations and address unmet market needs and drive incremental growth for the franchise.
Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in marketing business or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in portfolio management business development marketing or strategy in the pharmaceutical biotech or healthcare industries.
Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability to perform complex projects manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Strategy/Analytical Expertise: Experience in management/strategy consulting and/or decision analysis. Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and ability in data interpretation.
Cross-Functional Experience: Experience working with cross-functional teams including marketing sales and IT to integrate data insights into commercial strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Oncology Expertise: Prior experience in oncology portfolio management with an understanding of market dynamics customer behavior and competitive trends in oncology.
Advanced Degree: MBA or advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
Self-Starter: Demonstrates a proactive and independent approach to their work and responsibilities.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think critically and translate strategic goals into actionable plans that accelerate portfolio growth.
Innovative: Demonstrated ability to introduce innovation and implement novel solutions that enhance franchise performance and market position.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to cross-functional teams in a clear and actionable manner.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
