You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Certification Intake Supervisor supervises Intake Officers within the Certification & Licensing Unit. Responsible for the comprehensive administrative oversight and operational direction of the Certification & Licensing Units Intake Officers. This includes supervising the certification and licensing intake process preparing for audits and meticulously maintaining records. Additionally this role involves updating departmental forms and employee handbooks related to certification and licensing maintaining client relations and providing support to other units as needed.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
Oversees the intake process providing comprehensive administrative oversight to Intake Officers within the Certification & Licensing Unit exercising sound operational judgment . Directs Intake Officers by assigning reviewing and evaluating work. Resolves work procedure and policy discrepancies develops work procedure manuals and recommends enhancements to ensure superior service delivery to both internal and external departmental stakeholders. Directs the certification and licensing intake process audit preparation activities client relations management meticulous record maintenance and the authorization of certifications and licenses. Updates departmental forms and employee handbooks related to certification and licensing. Provides support to other units as required.
The Intake Supervisor provides guidance to staff regarding the interpretation of Federal and State regulations pertaining to certification and licensing procedures specifically those affecting the Department of Gaming Arizona Tribes and Event Wagering and Fantasy Sports. Additionally they undertake various assignments as requested by the Certification Manager Assistant Director and Deputy Director of Regulation and may provide support to other departmental units when necessary.
Knowledge:
Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact sections and Appendices.
Arizona Revised Statutes including Title 5 and Title 13.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Indian Gaming law including I.G.R.A.
Effective supervision practices.
Confidentiality.
Diplomacy.
Native American cultures and sensitivities.
Microsoft Office and the G-Suite/Workplace.
Skills:
Good computer skills excellent writing and communication skills to effectively supervise the Unit staff.
Independently plan evaluate organize and prioritize work in relation to importance.
Monitoring and reviewing the processing of applications for Tribal Gaming licensing State Certifications and Event Wagering and Fantasy Sports licensing.
Ability to examine licensing documents and interpret Federal and State laws and Agency procedures as they pertain to the Gaming Event Wagering and Fantasy Sports Industries.

Minimum 3 years supervisory experience; preferred experience in Gaming Licensing or other Intake positions.
Prefer bachelors degree in Business Administration or related fields.
Valid AZ Drivers License.
