*This is a Hybrid position working 2 days per week from home and 3 days from our office in Fulton MD*

What Youll Do... As a Staff Accountant with American Pest you will be a key part of our Accounting team helping keep our financial engine running smoothly and accurately. Youll dive into monthly journal entries account reconciliations and financial reporting while working closely with both the Controller and VP of Finance. From tracking inventory and corporate card expenses to supporting audits budgets and internal controls youll be hands-on with the numbers that drive our business forward.
Who You Are... So what does it take to be a successful Staff Accountant at American Pest For starters youll have a bachelors degree in Accounting Business or Finance. Youll also have...
- A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience - required
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups
- A strong understanding and functional application of MS Office Suite
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities according to urgency and importance in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the US) required
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
- The ability and willingness to keep and maintain confidential information
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong data entry skills and a high level of accuracy
- The ability to be a positive up-beat team-player
- A high attention to detail and a desire for getting things right
- The ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
- The ability to read write speak and comprehend English
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
