Director Strategic Initiatives
As Director of Strategic Initatives for the CAE Group at RBC you will be responsible for architecting transformative initiatives and bringing next-generation strategy to life within one of North Americas leading financial institutions.
In this role you will collaborate with senior leadership to define the strategic direction for the Chief Audit Executive (CAE) Group driving innovation operational excellence and risk intelligence across the function. Your expertise in strategic planning combined with your deep understanding of the financial services landscape will enable you to identify opportunities for growth and transformation ensuring CAE Group remains at the forefront of industry excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that align with RBCs broader organizational goals and the CAE Groups vision
  • Partner with executives to identify opportunities for innovation and transformation within the audit and risk assurance functions
  • Architect and implement next-generation strategies that enhance the CAE Groups capabilities and effectiveness
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives
  • Develop comprehensive strategic roadmaps with clear milestones metrics and deliverables
  • Analyze market trends industry developments and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making
  • Identify and assess emerging technologies and methodologies that could enhance the CAE Groups operations
  • Provide thought leadership and strategic counsel to senior management
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization

Qualifications

  • Masters degree or graduate-level education in business finance economics or related field
  • 10-15 years of strategy experience in consulting or corporate strategy roles preferably within financial services
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing transformative initiatives
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
