Catherine McAuley Collegeopened its doors in 2022 in order to meet the growing demand for a quality Catholic Education in the Mackay with pioneering Year 7s in 2022 they will grow into a complete Years 7 to 12 profile by 2027.
Built on the former site of the historic Mackay Sugar Research Institute our brand new college offers first class facilities to cater for staff and students to ensure the delivery of quality teaching and learning practices.
Your Role
Catherine McAuley College are currently seeking aTuckshop Assistant to join their team. This is a term-time continuing position for 5hpw commencing as soon as able or as negotiated with the successful applicant.
Typical duties include:
- Ordering stock from approved reliable suppliers.
- Receiving and checking all supplies against invoices and delivery dockets signing same before handing over to the Principal or nominee for payment.
- Handling money and correct balancing of same counting the daily takings and ensuring that daily takings are delivered to the Finance Assistant for banking.
- Follow workplace Health and Safety procedures in relation to the preparation of food and the cleanliness/hygiene of the tuckshop.
- Daily cleaning/tidying of the Tuckshop area.
- Ensuring all stock is stored in a tidy and clean manner.
- Ensuring a high standard of customer service and hygiene is maintained.

About you
The successful applicant will have an understanding of and a commitment to the ethos of Catholic addition you will have excellent time management skills and well developed interpersonal skills. A Food Safety Certificate would be advantageous.

Mandatory Requirements
- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
