Job Description
COMPANY OVERVIEW
University Mechanical and Engineering Contractors (UMEC-CA) a subsidiary Group is one of the largest mechanical contractors in Southern California operating for more than 100 years as a union shop.
UMEC-CA offers leading BIM capabilities innovative design/build services commercial HVAC services and complex mechanical and plumbing system installations.
We are a service-oriented cost-effective and schedule-driven construction organization that recognizes that strict adherence to milestones and completion requirements is the basis of successful construction projects.
Compensation range: $36/hr - $40/hr
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties include the distribution and maintenance of the RFP / bid documents records files reports and other information to and from the customer. This includes the proper controls of such information within the company and external to the company. These duties incorporate the adherence to standard University Mechanical forms and procedures as well as the other duties that may be assigned. At times the specific daily tasks may vary by project type and project requirements.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have the ability to communicate clearly to a wide range of customers in a positive and pleasant fashion. Basic knowledge of computers excel accounting and organizational skills
- Coordinates Company branding standards with parent Corporations marketing programs.
- Oversees the Companys social media interface consistent with parent Corporations policies.
- Oversees the content and maintenance of the Company website.
- Oversees the preparation and publications of company marketing materials for the overall Company as well as selected project pursuits.
- Works with IT to develop and maintain the Companys internet-related strategies.
- Manage the development of selected sales presentations as needed.
- Provides reports and analytics to top management based on industry-related information such as marketing trends competition new technologies etc.
- Manage and update the Companys resume.
- Manage and maintain the Companys project profiles with pictures descriptions honors etc.
- Maintain Company marketing-related archives.
- Manage and edit the Companys newsletter trade publication articles and advertisements etc.
- Oversee the production of marketing brochures signage trade show displays etc.
- Organize plan and executive selected UMEC internal and external events.
- Participate in or oversee Company Outreach programs when needed.
- Help with the coordination of industry-related trade group memberships and meetings.
- Assist with the collection and summarization of client leads meetings etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Southern California Construction and/or Engineering background a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly to a wide range of customers in a positive and professional manner.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Must work with minimal supervision.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Must prioritize in a fast-paced multi-task environment.
- Must effectively manage time and details.
- Must interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
- Must have acute organizational skills with the assembly presentation and archiving of technical information.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficiency in: MS Word MS Excel Blue Beam Internet
