Job Description
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional innovative and detailed individual for our Software Application Engineer Intern position. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer.
As a Software Application Engineer Intern a typical day might include the following:
Supporting SELs software development and lifecycle process
Verifying that software meets requirements.
Support software product management including technical support and content creation
Providing support to engineering staff as needed.
Following engineering quality assurance procedures.
Required Qualifications:
You are a current student pursuing a degree in engineering or equivalent with at least one year of technical coursework completed.
You have a desire to participate in technical marketing and sales activities
You are able to execute and document defined testing procedures.
You have strong writing documentation and speaking skills.
You are able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
You are able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
General knowledge of the electric power system industry
General knowledge of product lifecycle management
Experience using scripting languages or programming languages such as Python Javascript Perl Ruby C# C Java.

Pay Range Data
($19.50 - $32.50 per hour) * Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school
