The NCCC is looking for an instructor for our Heavy Equipment Operation and Maintenance program. The instructor will utilize a comprehensive Vermont standards-based curriculum for teaching that is based upon industry skill standards for the operation of various construction related machinery and equipment such as; bulldozer grader loader excavator backhoe skid steer trucks and log loader. The program also focuses on the maintenance and upkeep of these vehicles. The program is run at the NCCC Harold J Haynes Memorial Land Lab where there is open land for practicing safe operation of all vehicles and enables students to acquire the knowledge skills and attitudes that will prepare them to succeed in post-secondary training and/or gain entry into a basic level job in the Heavy Equipment Operation and Maintenance industry. QUALIFICATIONS:1. Meets Vermont Standards for licensure for Career and Technical Education.2. Demonstrates a minimum of two (2) years of recent teaching or a total of six (6) years of teaching or trade experience leading to a broad base of knowledge and skills in content area.3. Successful completion of an approved teacher preparation program or the willingness and ability to complete the requirements of the Vermont Career and Technical Teacher Mentor & Benefits: As per Teachers Negotiated Agreement.
