Job Description

Lead Controls Technician


Axis Automation leverages the teamwork of our leading engineers and machine builders to conceptualize design integrate deploy and service factory automation systems for forward-thinking manufacturing customers. Our team has decades of automation experience spanning hundreds of projects and thousands of automation configurations.

Position Title: Lead Controls Technician

Position Description: The Lead Controls serves as a team member in the electrical assembly process for automation equipment and this electrician is responsible for panel building and wiring of electrical components used on automation equipment projects. Willing to train entry level candidate with electrical knowledge.

Lead Responsibilities:
Lead and guide electrical team members across multiple projects
Monitor build progress to ensure timelines are met
Act as the primary communicator for electrical status and open issues during the build process
Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members
Responsibilities
Build and wire custom panels and systems per design and spec
Interpret and follow electrical schematics and customer documentation
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently and effectively.
Document changes and communicate updates throughout the build process
Support project success by focusing on quality cost and customer satisfaction
Collaborate with cross-functional teams through all stages of the project
Participate in on-site installations & Support


Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience wiring custom automated machinery
Proven ability to lead and coordinate a team
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
High attention to safety and detail
Comfortable reading schematics and working with complex mechanical systems
Basic computer proficiency (Excel Word OneNote)
Team player with strong communication and self-direction
Willingness to travel up to 20% (local national international)


Salary: $18-$36/hour (Wage based on Experience)

Additional Compensation: Overtime pay travel pay
