Job Description

Job Description

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Principal for Academic Affairs Integration the Coordinator of Student Success Research and Insights leads the universitys efforts to translate student experience data into actionable strategies that enhance academic progress retention and overall student success. This position is responsible for designing and administering surveys developing insightful dashboards training stakeholders in data literacy and fostering a culture of data-informed decision-making. The Coordinator works collaboratively with the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness academic departments and administrative offices to ensure alignment and accuracy of data and supports a university-wide commitment to student achievement and equity.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and implementation of student success-related surveys.

  • Create survey instruments pilot and refine questions and oversee deployment strategies to ensure high response rates and relevance.

  • Establish annual survey cycles in coordination with academic calendars and institutional priorities.

  • Build and manage interactive dashboards to monitor key student success metrics and survey results.

  • Translate complex data into visual formats that support storytelling and decision-making.

  • Ensure dashboards are regularly updated and accessible to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Promote data-informed practices across the institution by leading workshops and developing training materials for faculty staff and administrators.

  • Provide one-on-one and group support in interpreting and applying data insights.

  • Champion data agency and transparency across student-facing units.

  • Design and deliver professional reports and presentations summarizing findings trends and recommendations.

  • Present data insights to senior leadership student success teams academic councils and other stakeholder groups.

  • Collaborate with communications teams to share findings in digestible formats.

  • Partner with the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE) to align methodologies definitions and reporting structures.

  • Integrate institutional data with qualitative and survey-based insights to support strategic planning and resource allocation.

  • Participate in university committees and working groups related to student success and assessment.

  • Analyze survey response patterns and implement strategies to improve quality and engagement.

  • Stay current with national best practices research and innovations in student success assessment.

  • Recommend updates to survey instruments and processes based on institutional goals and stakeholder feedback.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Management retains the right to change or add job duties at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors degree in higher education public policy data analytics social science or related field.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in data analysis institutional research or student success data related work within a higher education setting.

  • Strong knowledge of survey platforms (e.g. Qualtrics) data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI) and statistical software (e.g. SPSS R or Python).

  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.

  • Exceptional written verbal and visual communication skills.

PREFERRED:

  • Masters degree in higher education public policy data analytics social science or related field.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams or university-wide initiatives.

  • Familiarity with equity-focused student success strategies and continuous improvement models.

  • Experience with Workday Student or similar student information systems.

Salary Range

$63833.23-$70221.74 Annually
