Primary Purpose:
The Coordinator of Student Services provides leadership coordination and support to ensure the effective delivery of student support programs across K12 campuses. This position works closely with school leaders counselors and community partners to promote the academic social-emotional and behavioral success of all students. Assist with hearing and resolving student and parent complaints.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
Masters Degree in Counseling Educational Administration Social Work or related field required
Valid Texas Certificate in School Counseling or Administration preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge/experience in crisis prevention/intervention preferred
Understanding of emotional and developmental disorders of childhood
Ability to interpret data from educational evaluations
Strong facilitation and active listening skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with other professionals in leadership as well as collaborative roles
Ability to mediate problem solve and resolve conflict
Ability to provide staff development training as well as training to parents
Thorough understanding of school operations
Experience:
Minimum of three years experience in administration or counseling

Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; occasional districtwide travel
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
Occasional districtwide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours.
