Job Description
Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and friendly Driver to join our team and assist in providing excellent transportation services to our senior residents. As a Driver you will be responsible for safely transporting residents to medical appointments outings and other scheduled activities.
In this role you will play a key role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our residents while fostering a warm and welcoming addition to transportation you will assist with setting up for activities ensuring our residents enjoy a full range of experiences.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments social outings and other scheduled events.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean well-maintained and ready for use at all times.
- Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules destinations and any special needs.
- Assist with setting up and preparing for resident activities and events.
- Communicate with team members to coordinate transportation needs and schedule adjustments.
- Follow all safety and traffic regulations to ensure a smooth and secure journey.
- Foster positive relationships with residents families and staff providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Arizona Drivers License with P endorsement (or ability to obtain prior to employment) and a clean driving record.
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience driving larger vehicles (e.g. passenger vans or buses) is preferrd but not required.
- Previous experience working with seniors is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly patient demeanor.
- Must be able to read write and speak the English language.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with seniors.
- Ability to lift and assist residents as needed with the support of other team members.
- Flexibility in scheduling including availability for weekends and evenings when needed.
