Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with 45 years of law firm experience (preferably minimal personal-injury background) to support our Civil Litigation practice. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment takes ownership of case management tasks and enjoys working hands-on with attorneys clients and vendors throughout all phases of litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management: Open organize and maintain matter files (electronic and hard copy); track deadlines and court calendars
- Drafting & Document Prep: Prepare and proofread pleadings motions discovery requests/responses subpoenas and trial exhibits
- Discovery Coordination: Manage document production e-discovery platforms privilege logs and Bates-labeling
- Trial Support: Work closely with attorneys on trial binders exhibitory databases witness coordination and logistics
- Legal Research: Conduct basic statutory and caselaw research; summarize findings for attorneys
- Client & Vendor Liaison: Communicate with clients court clerks experts and service providers to facilitate filings depositions and hearings
Required Qualifications
- 45 years litigation paralegal experience at a law firm (civil focus; minimal personal-injury work preferred)
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent; familiarity with Florida court rules a plus
- Proficiency with MS Office document management systems (e.g. iManage NetDocuments) and e-discovery tools (Relativity Concordance)
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple matters and meet strict deadlines in a team-oriented setting
