Job Description
A bit about the role:
Smartroof is seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Contracts Manager to serve as the primary on-site interface between our clients and the company. This pivotal role demands exceptional leadership and a meticulous approach to project execution. The successful candidate will be instrumental in cultivating robust client relationships ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of our installations.
A comprehensive understanding of the housebuilding industry coupled with an unyielding commitment to quality standards and current health and safety legislation is essential.
What you will be doing:
Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Provide strong decisive leadership and communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders fostering collaborative and productive relationships.
Subcontractor Oversight: Establish and maintain clear robust controls to effectively manage subcontractors ensuring adherence to contractual agreements quality standards and project timelines.
Project Performance & Risk Mitigation: monitor and manage project progress against and schedule proactively identifying and flagging risks early warnings and potential deviations to the Smartroof team through regular comprehensive updates.
Quality & Progress Assurance: In collaboration with the contracts team meticulously oversee the quality and progress of on-site installations ensuring all work meets or exceeds contractual requirements and industry best practices from inception through to project completion. This role will also involve direct participation in day-to-day carpentry work on site as required providing hands-on support to ensure project momentum and quality standards are met.
Safety & Compliance Leadership: oversee Safety Management Systems are not only in place but are rigorously implemented and continuously monitored to ensure a safe working environment and full regulatory compliance.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in effectively managing and motivating an on-site delivery team to achieve project objectives.
- A suitable in date CSCS CPCS or NPORS card within related industrys
- Possession of a full clean driving licence is essential enabling travel to various sites as required by the role.
Qualifications (preferred but not essential):
- SMSTS or NEBOSH qualification
- CPCS Appointed Person
