The Development Analyst will play a key role in supporting fundraising efforts by gathering analyzing and reporting data that drives donor engagement campaign effectiveness and strategic planning. This individual will ensure data integrity track performance metrics and provide actionable insights to inform development strategies across the organization. A successful candidate will have a passion for making a difference a proven track record in fundraising and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management & Reporting
- Manage and maintain donor database (e.g. Salesforce Raisers Edge or other CRM system).
- Ensure accuracy completeness and integrity of fundraising data.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reports on donor trends fundraising campaigns and KPIs.
- Analysis & Insights
- Analyze donor giving patterns and engagement metrics to support segmentation and personalized outreach.
- Identify opportunities for donor retention upgrades and re-engagement.
- Conducting wealth screenings and other research on potential fundraising opportunities
- Provide data-driven insights to optimize events campaigns and annual fundraising goals.
- Collaboration & Strategy Support
- Work closely with the Development Marketing and Program teams to support initiatives with relevant data.
- Assist in preparing fundraising forecasts grant reporting data and board-level summaries.
- Support benchmarking and competitive analysis to inform best practices.
- Systems & Process Improvement
- Recommend improvements to data collection tracking and analysis processes.
- Assist in training staff on data entry and reporting best practices.
Other responsibilities include:
- Review and improve our acknowledgment letter process alongside Stewardship Manager
- Support the processing of donations
- Support our fundraising events
- Conducting research to assist in identifying new fundraising opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Nonprofit Management Data Analytics Business or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in nonprofit development fundraising analytics or donor database management.
- Proficiency in Excel and CRM systems (Salesforce Raisers Edge or similar).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
- Passion for the mission of GiGis Playhouse and a commitment to inclusion and equity.
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp Constant Contact).
- Understanding of donor stewardship and development best practices.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising or development roles using data to provide insights in support of the Development and Marketing teams.
Demonstrated successful experience improving dollars raised by a Development team.
