We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance organization supporting the AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain team. We are looking for a team player that has the entrepreneurial spirit and enjoys working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Through insightful and data-driven analysis you will partner and collaborate with cross-functional team members to drive supply chain optimization initiatives that will continue our flywheel. This role is both strategic and detailed in nature and requires a finance professional who has a passion for developing complex financial models to support sound decision-making as well as enjoys rolling up their sleeves to learn the day-day aspects of the business. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic and multicultural environment; will be a creative and analytical problem solver.
Key job responsibilities
Build run and maintain complex financial models to maintain AWS infrastructure commodity planning derive key financial insights and communicate results to AWS FP&A and senior management.
Conduct supply chain monthly quarterly and yearly variance analysis and communicate results to AWS FP&A and senior management.
Develop ad hoc business analyses and present recommendations to AWS senior management.
Collaborate with business partners and co-lead on supply chain optimization projects by influencing through data-driven analysis reporting and metrics.
Serve as a key finance partner working with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights and cost savings opportunities.
Ensure compliance with controls and systems and develop new processes to support the fast-growing global AWS business.
Partner with Accounting Supply Chain and Finance to ensure compliance with controls and systems and develop new processes to support the fast-growing global AWS business.
- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) or Bachelors degree
- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
- 4 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
