These efforts are monitored and assessed regularly to ensure accountability to all Summary:The Special Education Paraprofessional provides instructional and behavioral support to students with a wide range of needs at the Emily G. Wetherbee School. This position plays a key role in helping students access content engage in learning and develop positive habits and behaviors that lead to academic success and Duties & Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one instructional support to students with individualized needs Support small groups of students in reviewing and completing teacher-assigned content Assist the classroom teacher in implementing classroom management strategies and PBIS protocols Support students in building habits for successful learning and engagement Maintain professional and respectful communication with students families and staff Maintain confidentiality in handling student information and records Support student arrival transitions and other schoolwide routines Substitute in classrooms or assist in the main office or other areas of the school as needed Perform other duties as assignedKnowledge Skills & Abilities:Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced flexible educational environment Commitment to diversity equity and inclusion Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff Willingness to be a team player and take initiative
