Job Description
Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term Clients team at (1) of their properties in St. Charles MO (63303). The ideal candidate will have general maintenance knowledge be self-motivated be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. This role will mostly be working on make ready/unit turns but will need to be able to handle work orders as needed. No special certifications or licenses required for this role. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).
- This role will be working with (1) community with 486 market rate units.
Salary: $21-$22/hour DOQ. This role is a contract to hire role (90 days before conversion).
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am 6pm.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks windows floors and other parts of the building.
- Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up shoveling and sweeping curb/dumpster area maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
- Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
- Install repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
- Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer dryer refrigerator stove microwave dishwashers etc.).
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues diagnose problems replace and/or repair parts test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
- Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains repair/replace leaking faucets remove/replace caulking replace different components of toilets adjust/replace door closures and replace locks deadbolts and passage locks.
- Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2 years experience in residential maintenance market rate properties are preferred.
- Be able to pass a background check before employment.
- Have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation as there will be on-call after conversion.
