About the role:
Reporting to the Manager of Coal Business Planning the Analyst Business Planning is responsible for providing high quality analytical assessment to support and prioritized contending demands in a fast-paced environment. This role is part of the team that drives strategic decision making across EVR. The nature of the work is highly varied and suitable to those who wish to be challenged in a fast paced multi-disciplinary environment. This position provides a diverse exposure to the entire coal chain and the ability to influence business decision making at the highest level.
To be successful we are looking for someone who with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills high attention to detail who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This person can work with minimal guidance and prioritize contending demands in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will:

    • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
    • Provide economic reviews and analysis of the LoAs highlighting risks and opportunities
    • Prepare annual consolidated Life of Asset (LoA) Plans
    • Manage the integrity of the LoA costing model
    • Project scenarios analysis to drive strategic decision making

Requirements:

    • Degree or Diploma in finance engineering with mining or civil specialization or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Minimum five years of progressively senior level experience in an industrial setting
    • Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent
    • Sophisticated financial analysis problem solving and decision-making abilities
    • Excellent digital literacy and proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and querying large databases and data warehouses would be an asset
$106000 - $131000 a year
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidates relevant experience skills and competencies and considers internal equity.
