Job Description
Join our Downer Professional Servicesteam and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australias future.
We currently have an opportunity for an Intellectual Property & Export Control Support Officer based inSydney to provide essential administrative and compliance support to theDefence business function.
What Youll Do
This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:
Coordinate invention disclosures and support IP-related documentation and briefings.
Maintain and update the IP register tracking patents trademarks and copyrights.
Coordinate invention disclosures and support IP-related documentation and briefings.
Process and assess access requests for restricted and export-controlled information.
Prepare compliance recommendation and maintain records for audits and approvals.
What Youll Bring
Solid understanding of intellectual property processes and eagerness to learn export control regulations.
Ability to interpret and apply compliance guidelines to operational tasks.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills for managing documentation.
Effective communication skills for briefings and stakeholder engagement.
Experience in government defence research or regulated industries is desirable.
Currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
- In some instances compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be an inherent requirement.
