You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Credit and Collections Assistant is responsible for verifying and recording accounts receivable transactions across all entities within the Mittera Group. This role follows established procedures for processing receipts cash handling and may also prepare bank deposits. Additional responsibilities may include performing general clerical tasks related to accounting functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED and 2 years experience; associates degree in accounting is strongly preferred. Requires foundational knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and 12 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and proficiency in computer-based tools including spreadsheets batch data processing and reporting systems.
Language Skills: Skilled in reading and interpreting a wide range of documents. Capable of drafting clear and effective employee communications and routine business correspondence. Communicates confidently and professionally with diverse audiences from senior leadership to front-line production staff including public speaking in peer group settings.
Mathematical Skills: Proficient in performing mathematical operations involving whole numbers fractions and decimals. Skilled in calculating rates ratios and percentages across various units of measure.
Reasoning Ability: Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in situations with limited standardization. Capable of interpreting and applying diverse instructions presented in written verbal diagrammatic or scheduled formats. Maintains composure and emotional resilience when faced with challenging or unpredictable circumstances.
Other Skills and Abilities: Proficient in operating personal computers and utilizing a variety of software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint Word Excel). Demonstrates strong organizational skills in managing records and information. Skilled in error prevention and problem-solving. Maintains professional etiquette and effective communication.
