The Boeing CompanyBGS Training Solutions is seeking an FSTD Regulatory Engineering Lead to join the Miami Training Campus team. This position will lead flight simulator training device (FSTD) regulatory engagement and compliance process oversight essential to the ongoing quality and qualification of Miami simulator operations. This is a great opportunity to be involved in Boeings large simulator operations network that supports customers from all Boeing aircraft programs and works with a diverse set of stakeholders across Boeing engineering global regulators business operations and industry suppliers. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Miami FL facility.
Position Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of NAA Coordinators: define priorities assign tasks and distribute workload.
Manage Master Qualification Test Guides and running/checking/grading recurrent QTG tests.
Schedule conduct and oversee quality fly outs distribute post-flyout reports. Coordinate the annual flyout schedule with all stakeholders.
Schedule prepare conduct and coordinate initial/recurrent/special regulatory evaluation. Prepare and communicate pre- and post-eval documentation to regulatory agencies; Implement a feedback loop to incorporate lessons learned into future evaluations.
Ensure Missing Malfunctioning Inoperative (MMI) reports are provided to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in a timely manner.
Coordinate prepare and support internal and external (Customers) audit findings providing technical oversight and process updates to ensure containment and correct actions that mitigate reoccurrence of issues.
Support Global Sustainment teams (B737MAX B777-9 and B787 projects) during hardware/software updates roll-out. Ensure that all updates are compliant with regulatory standards and documented appropriately.
Support Project Management led updates to ensure all regulatory test and validation and Simulator Operations processes and oversight are conducted/completed according to schedule. Facilitate regular check-ins with the project team to ensure alignment of regulatory requirements.
Perform continued improvement activities to automate simplify elaborate processes and QMS procedures related to SimOPS/NAA team
Maintain NAA team documentation library with bi-yearly inventory cycle
Maintain compliance with Boeing Simulator Operation Qualify Manual and associated procedures
Establish a good means of communication between Device Managers Sim Techs and Engineering team on the Campus and provide required reporting
Manages develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering (preferably Aviation field)
3 years experience in working (or managing) with diverse teams on projects requiring regulatory oversight.
3 years experience with an auditor or regulatory oversight
Flexibility to work different shifts/overtime
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years experience in working with Microsoft Office suite as well as Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Knowledge of regulatory documentation that pertains to the modification of simulators and training components devices hardware and software.
Knowledge in the field of simulation particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or trainers
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address regulatory or operational challenges effectively.
Relocation:
This position offers internal US relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Education/experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology) computer science engineering data science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.
