Job Duties

  • Propose improvements to department/plant operations through manufacturing engineering analysis of existing operations compared to future requirements based on capacity cost reduction safety and/or risk avoidance opportunities.
  • This position is a recognized process owner responsible for strategic planning and execution of various manufacturing engineering functions including manufacturing process development and support product introduction manufacturing project management of small to medium projects as well as general manufacturing support and team participation.
  • These activities and responsibilities also include leadership of continuous improvement initiatives based on performance metrics and will vary depending on the location and process expertise (machining fabrication assembly etc.).
  • Review production problems as they are identified and implement solutions.
  • Develop reports project briefings and management presentations. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent and 16 years related experience or Bachelors Degree and 4 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certain technical skills and training such as CNC programming CAD layout geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC) may be required.
  • Must be able to lead cross-functional teams manage medium to large projects and contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to support and mentor Process Technicians Supervisors and others.
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to lead the discussion meeting project etc. and communicate across all levels of the organization.
