Job Description
My Client a Fortune 500 company is seeking a Manager of Transmission Line Engineering in their busy FraminghamMA office. They are recruiting for a leader of a dynamic team working in a fast-paced environment solving challenging problems for electric transmission line design this leadership role you will serve as Supervisor and Technical Lead for electric transmission design projects for high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) overhead electric utility lines. Also applying NESC ASCE and other applicable standards in the engineering and design of electric transmission projects including new capacity projects as well as infrastructure replacement projects.
Additionally you will assist the team as well as independently perform engineering analyses prepare bidding documents plans and specifications and prepare material procurement and construction this collaborative environment you will be working alongside project planning environmental permitting and construction management. The position provides the opportunity for you to develop an engineering team with direct report responsibilities. While also being accountable for managing client relations proposal development scope creation and project management.
Relocation assistance is available and this is a hybrid role
Required skills and experience:
- Bachelors degree in Civil (preferred) Structural or Mechanical Engineering with twelve (12) years of relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems.
- Professional Engineering Registration in at least one U.S. state or equivalent.
- Experience with the following: PLS-CADD POLE TOWER SAG10 LPILE and/or FAD and Microsoft Office suite.
- Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams
- Ability to develop staff through mentoring.
- Capability to review engineering calculations including PLS-CADD models.
- Knowledge of NESC code requirements construction cost estimating specification material procurement processes project schedule creation and construction work packages.
- Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD Bentley MicroStation Bentley ProjectWise ESRI ArcGIS Programs Microsoft SharePoint and Mathcad.
