Job Description

Part-time (0.7 FTE) 12-month contract with potential for extension

Support trans gender diverse (TGD) and LGBTIQ young people across Victoria.

About the role

Zoe Belle Gender Collective (ZBGC) in partnership with Thorne Harbour Health is seeking a passionate and experienced Youth Project Lead to drive our Health Equal Youth (HEY) program. This is a unique opportunity to lead projects that build resilience create inclusive spaces and deliver transformative training and resources for young people their families and service providers.

As a proudly TGD-led organisation ZBGC is committed to justice empowerment and equity. We are looking for someone who shares our values brings community insight and is ready to make a meaningful impact.

The role will also:

Design and deliver innovative affirming workshops and resources for TGD/LGBTIQ youth and their families.

Provide training and consultation to youth programs and service providers to improve inclusive practice.

Build partnerships with organisations across metro and regional Victoria.

Manage ZBGCs social media presence and lead promotion of our fee-for-service training.

Coordinate casual trainers and collaborators to support project delivery.

In addition to your salary of SCHADS Level 5 (pro-rata) and superannuation Thorne Harbour also pays above award. Youll also receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15900 in salary packaging benefits.

About you

You will bring to the role:

Experience in LGBTIQ advocacy youth work health promotion education or community development.

Strong knowledge of trans and gender diverse communities and the issues they faceparticularly young people.

Excellent communication training and project management skills.

A passion for equity inclusion and social change.

Understanding of ZBGCs mission and a commitment to working from a place of care empathy and justice.
