Job Description
As an Associate Developer youve got extensive experience with HTML5 CSS3 and Vanilla JS which means youre good to go when it comes to developing innovative features for responsive websites. If youre always looking to learn and grow in your role then good newsyoull get key mentorship from a Senior Developer and will gain experience working with departments like Creative and UX to create top-notch user experiences.
Not only are you a true rock star in responsive HTML and CSS development youre also up to speed on the latest in responsive grid frameworks and templating enginesand throw in some various JavaScript patterns for reusability and performance. You have a strong foundational knowledge of ES5 and ES6but well welcome any experience you have with JavaScript as you have experience with Python and Java allowing you to contribute to backend and full-stack development when needed.
The Trailhead program is the start of your epic journey at Critical Mass. During your initial 12-weeks you will embark on a custom-built learning journey to understand what we do who we are and how we make award-winning work with our clients. Our goal is to integrate you into the amazing work we do here at Critical Mass and support you as part of the team to grow your career with us!
Our Fall 2025 Trailhead Cohort commences in October 6 2025.
You Will:
- Rapidly prototype with code using modern front-end frameworks and digital pattern libraries.
- Deliver solutions balancing technical and business requirements.
- Understand business and user requirements.
- Maintain high coding standards and practices to exercise quality control on all aspects of web development.
- Problem-solve in all areas of web development.
You Have:
- 0-2 years demonstrated development experience with hand-coding advanced HTML CSS HTML5 CSS3 and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated development experience with React.
- Experience with Python and Java.
- An interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Package manager and automation tool experience (npm gulp grunt).
- Demonstrated understanding of Responsive Web Design principles.
- Proficiency with Semantic HTML Markup.
- Experience working with cross-functional and cross-office teams.
- Experience diagnosing and solving cross-browser and cross-platform issues.
