Company:
The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Structural Designer (Level 3) for the Design Center South in Titusville FL which is a multi-function Engineering Organization with a mission statement to provide engineering solutions via a highly skilled flexible workforce and cutting edge technologies for the advancement of the Boeing Enterprise. The Design Center provides engineering support to Enterprise wide projects/programs and is a flexible team that strategically adapts to emerging opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads development integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design
Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the products environment.
Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment characteristics and performance
Leads development of test plans and configurations supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing Improvements.
Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness quality and efficiency of the development effort
Works under minimal direction
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is Person includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
Experienced Level 3: Typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and Experience
Strong communication skills to interface with different program and customer teams
Experience working in a cross functional
