Job Description
Primary location: Brookston Duluth Floodwood and Hermantown MN
Status: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Reports to: Maintenance Director
Pay rate: $22-$26 per hour (pay depending on experience)
At Winter family Care we believe every person deserves to live a life of dignity independence and respect. As a Maintenance Technician youll handle routine preventive and some specialized maintenance tasks independently. Ensure home systems and infrastructure are functional and code-compliant with minimal disruption to residents.
What Youll Do:
- Independently perform repairs to plumbing electrical drywall doors etc.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance (e.g. HVAC filter schedules smoke alarm tests etc.)
- Oversee vehicle logs and coordinate oil changes tire checks and repairs.
- Log maintenance activity and keep documentation organized.
- Prioritize and close out maintenance tickets timely in the task tracking system.
- Collaborate with house coaches to schedule tasks around resident routines.
- Provide input on supply purchasing and improvement projects.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director.
What Youll Bring:
- 2 years in building and facility maintenance.
- Working knowledge of home systems (HVAC electrical plumbing etc.)
- Comfortable working around individuals with high behavioral needs.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and be fingerprinted if necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Valid drivers license.
Required skills:
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Organization and time management.
- Respectful trauma-informed approach to interacting in residential settings.
