Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Support Services Supervisor the LST is responsible for providing quality customer oriented laboratory services including specimen procurement specimen processing and related specialized procedures and service to effectively communicate information to users of the Laboratory Services in order to ensure the department is able to operate efficiently and to successfully fulfill its mission. LSTs also provide training and guidance to less experienced laboratory support technicians.

Position: Laboratory Support Technician

Department: Labs-Microbiology

Schedule: 24 Hours Days/Evenings

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma.

CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP) preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

One year of Phlebotomy EKG and/or specimen processing experience is preferred.
