Qualifications
Graduate degree in a relevant field such as law higher education student affairs administration or counseling required. Three to five years of professional experience in student conduct community standards residence life student affairs or a closely related area. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare formal reports articulate policies and engage effectively with students families and campus stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution student behavior management or crisis response. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations including students faculty staff and external partners. Proficiency with student affairs technologies including student information systems and conduct management databases.
Preferred Qualifications
Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in student conduct community standards or related areas within higher education preferred. Demonstrated experience applying student development theory to student conduct processes with familiarity in legal and regulatory issues such as FERPA Title IX the Clery Act and the ADA . Strong commitment to diversity equity inclusion and social justice with a record of incorporating these principles into conduct processes. Experience utilizing educational sanctioning and/or alternative resolution models and working effectively with diverse student populations and departments such as Residence Life Public Safety Counseling and Academic Affairs. Experience designing and delivering conduct-related education and training for students faculty and staff. High proficiency in technologies including Maxient Navigate and Ellucian Banner. Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to write clearly concisely and persuasively and to manage sensitive situations with discretion sound judgment and a student-centered approach. Strong leadership supervision conflict resolution and data analysis skills including the ability to assess track and report behavioral trends to inform prevention and policy efforts.
