Councils Education and Care team are looking for passionate motivated and skilled leaders to join our team as an Early Childhood Teacher across our Education and Care Services. The role is responsible for leading planning implementing and delivering the educational program to provide a warm and caring environment that enriches and enhances the childrens lives.

About this role:
Salary information: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
Cumberland City Council has successfully been approved for funding under the Commonwealth Governments Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Worker Retention Payment Grant. This grant will provide an additional retention allowance to increase their wages in line with the federal Childrens Services Award 2010 and applies until 30 November 2026.
The payment of the Worker Retention Payment allowance is not a condition of employment with Council and is subject to the Worker Retention Payment allowance being fully funded by the Commonwealth Government. Should this retention allowance cease to paid by the Commonwealth Government Council will also cease payment of the ECEC Worker Retention Payment Grant to staff.

What youll need to have for this role:
Council adheres to the principles of a child safe organisation and is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people and fully supports the aims and objectives of NSW Child Protection Legislation and associated provisions. Council will implement all necessary measures to ensure a safe and supportive environment which endeavours to promote child protection practices. It is essential for applicants to submit their WWCC number with their application if required and it is an offence under NSW legislation for barred workers to apply for or otherwise attempt to obtain undertake or remain in child-related employment.
